What makes you effective?

I blend strong analytical skills with a genuine sensitivity for others. I have written software and I write poetry. I learn fast. And I listen well. I attend to details. And I take risks. I build things that work. And I imagine possibilities.

So, with me, you get a whole brain, instead of, say, half.

What happens when I call?

We will have a conversation about what you want to accomplish. Our mutual agenda will be to determine 1) if I can help you and 2) if you want my help.

Am I going to get a sales pitch?

No. All of my clients are too intelligent to buy something because of a pitch. They decided to buy my services because they concluded that I could help them improve their business.

You will find talking to me to be refreshingly different. I am sincerely interested in helping others. I respect others. I listen carefully.

When is the best time to call?

My office is in California and I'm at my desk from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. PST unless I'm working with a client. If you get my friendly answer system, leave a message. I return phone calls.

Are you a motivational speaker?

I'm a process expert. Many people, however, tell me that I inspired them. That comes from my positive, encouraging outlook.

I believe there is an awesome potential in everyone. And I show people how to find it.

What does it cost?

This depends upon 1) the type of program that you want, 2) the amount of customizing required, 3) the length of the event (or meeting), 4) the size of your group, and 5) the location for the program.

Once I know what you want, I can quote a fee.

How do you keep people's attention?

No one sleeps during my programs. I involve them. I make them think. I challenge them.

Many years ago a participant approached me during a workshop. She said, "I get sent to a lot of these things and they are all dull, so I use the time to daydream. You're different. Every time I try to escape, you do something that brings me back."

Who is your ideal client?

My ideal clients are typically people who work for:

Small companies (20 to 1,000 employees) that rely on outside experts for facilitation or employee development programs.

Large corporations that want an outside expert to help with special topics or to provide another viewpoint on programs delivered by their staff.

Companies that want to learn from an expert who is free of internal commitments, alliances, or history. All of these can reduce the credibility of an internal trainer.

I relate especially well to professionals in high tech corporations, because I spent 20 years working in that environment

I have worked successfully with a wide range of organizations, from very small (11 people) to very large (e.g., IBM, Chevron, and Toshiba).

They show that I'm more than just a process expert. I am also a sensitive artist. And by blending analytical thinking with intuitive sensitivity, I achieve uncommonly valuable results.
