Basic Rights

Basic Rights
Once a congress of
children gathered to
define their basic rights.
Quite quickly they
decided the following:
Parents should be the
most mature members
in the household, free
of anger, fear, and
violence of any kind.
Grownups should
recognize that children,
both big and small,
need freedom to live,
explore, and discover.
Everyone should
treat everyone else,
including children, with the
respect and courtesy
given to important adults.
As they were about to
set these words on
paper for all generations
to follow, their parents
called them in from play. |
