Important Clues

This morning I playfully
tickled a few hairs on my
cat’s paw and he let me
know with a silent meow
that my little game was
not something he wanted
to play, so I stopped,
and his purring resumed,
which just goes to show
how candid communication
and attentive listening
work together to keep a
relationship intact.
