Three Whimiscal Poems

from Crackers

Crackers

Two crackers
huddle in a carton,
waiting, terrified.
The news about
what happened
to the others
was most disturbing.

Abstract Poetry

tired bat wings beat silent songs
over stale toast in broken cups

lime lollipops stick to freshly
faded wallpaper in dim hallways

yesterday's herbal tea waits like
unemployed golf caddies for the news

elegant eye lashes wipe forgotten sins
from fog covered windows in autumn

pretentious ambiguity stuns patrons of
trendy coffee shops that serve wine

Wow

What wonders will we work
when white whales whine woefully
when wicked witches wing westwardly
when wistful women wash windows willingly
when witless wizards wiggle wantonly
when wily wolves whelp wildly
when wet wharfs wobble weakly
when wacky welders whistle whimsically?
Would we write with wiser words?
