Your Super Powers

Western Bluebird, Female, in blog post: Super Powers

Western Bluebird, Female

Good news! You have super powers.

Now admittedly, these are human (instead of magical) super powers.

So you will still need to walk (or drive) for errands. You will still need to open packages to find out what’s in them. And so on.

But these powers can make you incredibly powerful in your daily activities.

And you can use them without having to wear a costume or a mask.

More so, we are about to emerge into a world where everybody will be expected to use these powers. So by developing them now, you will contribute to a future we can admire.

They are:

Super Power #1: Kindness

Kindness is the key to creating solutions that work and that last.

With kindness, you will gain support, make progress, and be respected.

Thus, kindness is more efficient. Now you can spend your time going forward, instead of being stuck fixing messes.

And responding with kindness when confronted by nasty situations is a measure of inner strength. That can lead to successes in every part of your life.

Super Power #2: Smile

A smile makes you more approachable, more attractive, and more powerful.

First, it helps you solve challenges, such as when asking for a favor, describing a plan, or suggesting a change.

And then a smile reflects inward. That helps you feel better (even stronger), which supports courage, persistence, and resilience.

A smile also connects you with others, which can lead to conversations that find solutions.

A smile can even save lives.

Yes, there are stories about someone who was struggling with despair until a stranger gave them a friendly smile and a bit of encouragement.

Super Power #3: Truth

People recognize, respect, and want truth.

Truth is especially powerful because it leads to sustainable solutions.

In fact, truth is essential for a functioning society.

Truth also leads to trust, which facilitates personal success.

And thus a commendable legacy is built on a foundation of truth.

Much success,

Steve Kaye

Did You Know?

The most effective way to help birds is to buy land.

Here are three organizations that excel at doing this.

1) American Bird Conservancy

2) The Nature Conservancy

3) The Trust for Public Land

Please visit their web sites to learn about the work they do.

Here’s an excellent book: The American Bird Conservancy Guide to Bird Conservation

Welcome words at this time. May I recommend a book Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton, which may not have reached you across the pond. It is a beautiful book about how the author raised a tiny leveret which she found abandoned and how trust developed between her and this wild animal. Truly remarkable and a message for our times.
